From the forgoing two variables can be perceived as constituting an important factor in the improvement of the quality of education to achieve the objectives. The variables are human and materials resources. Human and material resources are needed in a given quality and quantity, it enhance the performance of schools and invariable the academic performance of individual students.

The human factor cannot be performed effectively without the availability of material resources. Material resources are school facilities and can also be referred to as school plants. Adeboyeje (2004) described school plants as the school site, building, classroom, corridors, playground sanitary facilities and other equipment minus the consumable materials.

Educational facilities aid teaching and learning process that is; education, facilities play an important role in the determination of the academic performance of students.

A well designed functional school building with a wide array of teaching aids therefore provides effective delivery of schools curriculum and is positively related to academic achievements in line with the above.
