The research work is on the impact of Information Communication Technologies (ICT) on the Teaching and Learning of Social Studies in Junior Secondary Schools in Gwagwalada Area Council, Abuja. In doing this the researcher used the population of 100 respondents comprises of students and teachers as a sample which represented the entire population of the study. The methodology used in obtaining the information is through questionnaire and the data collected were analyzed using percentage scores and frequency method. The research project was divided into five chapters.

The finding revealed that proper use of ICT devices couple with understanding and application of ICT skills and knowledge will have tremendous achievement in the Teaching and Learning of Social Studies in Junior Secondary Schools. It also takes a look at some of the problems confronting the use of ICT in the Teaching and Learning of Social Studies in Schools. However, analysis and evaluation of questionnaire were made for confirmation the use of ICT Teaching and Learning of Social Studies.

Based on the findings of the study it is recommended that Government, Ministry of Education, Corporate Bodies and Stakeholders should provide ICT equipment such as computers, television, video, slides, projector, filmstrips etc for productive teaching and learning of social studies in junior secondary schools.
